SUMMARY

Generate new business and expand existing accounts through outside sales.

CLASSIFICATION

   STATUS: Exempt           CLASS/GROUP: Full-time, Regular          PAY TYPE: Bi-weekly

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES

  • Develop and implement account strategies to maximize sales within assigned territory.

  • Submits proposed program and estimated budget to client for approval.

  • Manage lists of current and prospective customers in the territory, keeping current computerized records of contacts, activities, sales potential, etc.

  • Travel throughout assigned territory, meeting with current and prospective customers to maintain and build account relationships, advise of new marketing commercial announcements, obtain feedback on products and services, and identify new opportunities with current and prospective customers.

  • Qualify sales opportunities and prioritize activities and resources accordingly

  • Identify new sales opportunities by finding new customers through networking opportunities.

  • Assist clients in identifying advertising solutions and tailor services to meet client’s needs and budgetary limitations, utilizing knowledge of product or service to be advertised, media capabilities, and audience characteristics.

  • Coordinate resources and activities of workers engaged in marketing research, writing copy, laying out artwork, purchasing media time and space, developing special displays and promotional items, and performing other media-production activities, in order to carry out a successful campaign within budgetary requirements.

  • May arrange for and accompany prospect to commercial taping sessions.

  • May prepare promotional plans, sales literature, and sales contracts.

SUMMARY

Performs any combination of following duties to record and transmit broadcasts.

 

CLASSIFICATION

   STATUS: Exempt       CLASS/GROUP: Part-time       PAY TYPE: 1st and 15th of each month

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES

  • Operates studio, PTZ, and mini-television portable, shoulder-mounted cameras to record and transmit broadcasts.

  • Controls audio and video consoles to regulate transmission of television scenes.

  • Sets up and controls television production equipment, such as cameras, lights, microphones and microphone booms and recording equipment, in studio and at locations outside of studio, to record or transmit broadcasts.

  • Performs preventive and minor equipment maintenance, using work tools.

  • Maintains log to record equipment location, usage, and needs for servicing/repair by the Enginering department.

  • Occasionally performs voice-overs for commercials.

  • May be required to load and unload vehicle for field shoots.

  • Compose or edit program, commercial, or promotional scripts to meet management or other requirements, using typewriter or computer terminal.

  • May view taped program to select scenes to be used, using video equipment.

  • Records audio to verify program, script, or sound effects conform to broadcast standards, using audio equipment.

  • May obtain costumes, props, music, other equipment or talent from established pool to complete a production.

  • May operate character generator or technical video editing equipment.
